Neuro Urology

Neurourology is a condition that focuses on disorders of the bladder in relation to the spinal injuries and neurological disorders and it is commonly called the neurogenic bladder. Since the normal bladder function is dependent on the nerves that sense the fullness of the bladder, the nerve disorder due to disease or injury affects these sensing capability, causing abnormalities in the bladder function and so it is called neurogenic bladder.

Neurogenic bladder occurs due to the result of a brain or spinal cord injury and because of diseases that interrupts the nerve conduction in the pelvic area and results in loss of bladder sensation plus motor control.
